I didn't want to write on Saturday night, I was waiting for everything I saw to calm down, so that I wouldn't be pathetic and long, but the feeling didn't go away! Apologies in advance for the long words, it can't be shorter!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gabi, you are a tsunami! You stood up to speak, started and covered us all like a giant wave, you sucked us in, you blew us away! You shook those involved, you tortured them, and then you threw them ashore in a state they haven't been in for a long time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I admire and envy you at the same time! I admire your iron will and the creative power that you have. And yes, I envy you for the fact that you enjoy your work and can pass it on to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A lot of us gathered at the workshop. Some were more injured, some less. I accompanied my mother, who had a severe hemorrhagic stroke a year and a half ago. There was a blood clot in her brain five centimeters in diameter. Her right side is paralyzed, her leg is developing, her speech is not perfect, but we can make phone calls \u2013 but her hand has been immobile for a year and a half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I can say without exaggeration that I saw a miracle yesterday. I saw a man who, upon arrival, was pulled out of his wheelchair by three people, shaking and dripping with water, and then at the end of the day, he was walking on his own two feet, accompanied by his trainer, with a cane in his hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I saw another one (and you noticed this too, Gabi) who \u2013 I don't want to offend anyone \u2013 arrived with an expressionless face, and at the end of the training, his eyes were shining and life had returned to his eyes from the successes he had achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unfortunately, my mother is very weak physically, she couldn't keep up with the pace for now, but in the afternoon, when she joined the upper limb group, I saw our personal miracle: the fingers that had been motionless for a year and a half were dancing, the back of the hand clenched into a fist "on command".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you know the movie Awakenings? It was like...<\/p>\n\n\n\n I am convinced that if every person who has had a stroke could have an ARNI trainer, then in a few years this disease would not be such a dreaded disease. And I don't want to trivialize it, I mean that there IS a solution.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n I've been so influenced by all of this that I'm terribly sorry that I don't have any affinity for healthcare. I'd like to be an active part of it somehow! Gabi, if there's anything I can do here in Kom\u00e1rom-Esztergom County, be it promoting it, finding physiotherapists who are open to it, anything, please let me know!<\/p>\n\n\n\n About the training: heart, emotion, empathy, patience, expertise, smile. These are you, light years away from hospital robots!<\/p>\n\n\n\n In closing, I would like to say to those who have not been through this before: I truly saw a miracle yesterday. Remember: you will receive all the tools, methods, and knowledge, but the miracle is within you! Fight, push, and never give up!
