I am writing these lines as a relative. My father will be 73 this month, and he had his first stroke on February 5. Unfortunately, during the COVID lockdown, we were unable to ask the doctors about his condition every day for 3 weeks \u2013 and in the end, we were forced to do so. After three weeks, he was transferred to an inpatient unit, and then 2 days later he was returned to Bajcsy Hospital because he had another stroke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They forgot to inform us that he had been returned. I decided then that there was no way I was going to let my dad be left without the supervision of his relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I wrote a request for a visit to the Director \u2013 which of course no one told me I could have written earlier. Anyway. We got in straight away, and I am very grateful that his treating doctor was Dr. M\u00e1rton V\u00e1rhegyi, because even after leaving the hospital, he helps us instead of the GP, who doesn't even care that we exist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I found ARNI stroke rehabilitation while getting up and going with my stroke, and now comes the point...<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I met and spoke with wonderful people who were very kind, helpful, direct, knowledgeable, and humble.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Today, the first meeting and session with Dorottya gave my dad and us a lot of strength and happiness. My dad, who hadn't really exercised for two months, was finally sitting on the edge of the bed, which I shared with the hospital doctor - causing him great joy, as he also said that unfortunately he would be bedridden for the rest of his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I am sure that with this wonderful team, community and trainer, he will soon return to his independent, simple life. And I say this with the fact that his left side is paralyzed, he has a PEG and a catheter, but he has been taking care of himself at home for 2 weeks and we are making progress day by day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There is always hope!
