George Winkler

SNR®/ARNI trainer

Why did I join the SNR®/ARNI team? First, professional curiosity about how I could best help stroke survivors, followed by a thirst for knowledge, the acquisition of new knowledge, its application in practice, the opportunity for continuous development, the incorporation of the latest research results into my work, and a dedication to challenges.

I am proud to be part of a team characterized by thinking together to achieve the goal, and we receive inspiration from our professional leader and from each other.

In terms of its human side, the SNR®/ARNI team is an extremely cohesive, helpful, knowledge-sharing, professionally dedicated community, empathetic, which our professional leader also represents as an example.

My professional experience as a physiotherapist dates back to several years of practice, during which I have effectively helped and continue to help people who want to improve their quality of life together, as partners.

I feel lucky because I can do what I love, my work is also my hobby, I am professionally dedicated, and I have a need for further training. I am characterized by perseverance, patience, analytical work, finding solutions, empathy, helpfulness, humor, and cheerfulness.

The positive feedback from those involved about the joint professional work is accuracy, creativity, finding solutions – with personalized tasks, complexity, helpfulness/suggestions for purchasing equipment, analyzing video recordings during each exercise, and individualizing the music choices listened to during training. Intimate conversations about feelings and successes are important to them. The joyful reception of the smallest successes, motivation, and their maintenance.

What I truly believe in when it comes to my work at SNR® is ethical behavior, commitment, responsibility, respect, problem solving, honesty, competence. Working in a team under the guidance of a professionally credible leader, developing a common vision.

In my work as SNR®, I am passionate about helping my fellow people with limited mobility live a better quality of life after a stroke, so that they can be as independent as possible, so that they can accept what has happened, give them momentum, increase their self-confidence, set goals and achieve them together/with the involvement of family members, and show that they can gradually manage and overcome their own limitations with the help of relearning coping strategies.
